Finding the Balance

In a world where we are expected to be all things to all people, we need to make room for taking care of ourselves. We cannot do or be everything for every one. Looking in the Mirror

I don't know about you, but when I look in the mirror, sometimes I see my mom. Sometimes I see an old lady I don't know. I stare at her and don't recognize her or her life or how she got there in front of me. But I need to get to know her, because she is me. That's when I look in the mirror and smile, because I'm learning to accept myself exactly as I am.

"At times I almost dream...

I too have spent a life the sages’ way,
And tread once more familiar paths " ~Robert Browning
If the patterns in your life seem familiar they probably are. But why? If you're exhausted of life, mistakes, and things you keep doing and you can't understand just why you do them, there is hope. Self-discovery is a beautiful thing and big change is in your future.

I am learning to take good care of myself. I need to eat, exercise, sleep, read and hold my own balance in life. I am also realizing I need to be gentle with myself and be completely accepting of me.

I have no kids at home to care for anymore. My husband is a grown man. It's time to take care of me. So here I go...

The Journey
